Grace Episcopal Church of Newington has been here guiding us since 1874. During that time the congregation has grown, faced challenges both earthly and spiritual, and overcome.
Throughout it all, God has graced us with the strength of the fellowship that truly is Grace
Church. As we enjoy the warmth that is our Grace community we also look around at our beautiful building, built 50 years ago, and see signs of age; signs of energy inefficiency; signs that
some of our members cannot easily access areas of the church they should be able to.
We are conducting this Capitol Stewardship Program to ensure we continue to have a warm,
safe, inviting place to share in the fellowship of our parish. We are investing to make our building and grounds easier to access for our elderly and disabled members - so that everyone can
attend a fellowship hour or a pancake dinner in the parish hall with ease. We are investing to
build for our children, so that they have a safe, environmentally friendly place to raise future
generations of Grace parishioners. We are investing so that God’s work can continue through
us in the form of the chili cooking, the outreach to the Prudence Crandall Center, and the many
other things we do requiring a solid, easy-to-use facility from which to work.
Our Goal is: to continue strong fellowship.
Our Goal is: to continue to make Grace church environmentally friendly.
Our Goal is: to provide a strong base for the future.
We are investing in the past, present, and future of Grace Church.
